Since its inception over 100 years ago, Aurora University has developed its programs to suit the education needs of the nation but also those within its immediate community. Recognizing a local need for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) education in K12 grades, Aurora University engaged Boldt to construct a new STEM Partnership School to serve third- through eighth-grade students from multiple districts, as well as provide a platform for teacher preparation, faculty development and educational research.
The school consists of classrooms, laboratories, STEM forum, a multi-purpose room, greenhouse and rooftop garden. The classrooms are designed to meet best practices in modern learning environments, with a focus on interaction and collaboration. The school has a student capacity of 200 with land around the building for potential future expansion.
