Mercyhealth – Crystal Lake Hospital and Medical Center

Despite hosting a population of more than 40,000 residents, Crystal Lake, Illinois has lacked critical access to care services for decades, especially emergency services. To address this need, Mercyhealth engaged Boldt to construct a new 390,000 SF hospital and medical center on a greenfield site on the outskirts of the city. The state-of-the-art facility offers area residents integrated, coordinated and convenient health care close to home. It includes advanced medical technology for enhanced healing and care and also has a 24-hour emergency room and intensive care unit.

The facility provides a wide range of services and spaces, including private inpatient suites, intensive care suites, surgery suites, diagnostic / imaging, 24/7 emergency care, family medicine, orthopedics and sports medicine, gastroenterology, general surgery, cardiology, physical therapy, lab and x-ray services, infusion therapy, cancer care, obstetrics and gynecology, and pain services.
